iOS Open Source: Animated Tile Menu

March 22, 2013

Matt Gemmell is the author of a unique, popup menu, aptly name MGTileMenu.

Each menu can have up to 5 tiles (icons). If more than five tiles are defined, there is a sixth tile displayed which indicates to the user (via the the tried and true “…” metaphor) that more tiles are available.

A screenshot of MGTileMenu follows:

Many attributes of the appearance are configurable. You can also register for notifications for actions such as menu shown or dismissed, tile highlighted or activated, menu page change, among others.

This is a well designed and coded project. If you are looking for a solid code base to learn a few things, download the project and have a closer look.
