Over the past 4+ years it’s been a great pleasure to watch this blog go from nothing more than my interest to share what I’ve learned with others iOS developers to over 6300 Twitter followers and close to 350k pageviews/month at its peak.

With that said, I continually run into a lot of great stuff on the Internet related to iOS, developer tools, code examples, etc. In the interest to share what I find with readers of this blog, I’ve decided a newsletter is a logical next step.

For something to aspire to, I’ve set a goal to reach 5,000 newsletter subscribers within 6 months. Optimistic? Certainly. Possible? Most definitely.

And what better way to help drive some interest and subscribers than a series of giveaways?

Tiered Giveaway

On the journey to 5000 new subscribers, I’ll have drawings as follows:

• 500 subscribers – $50 via Paypal
• 1000 subscribers – $50 via Paypal
• 2500 subscribers – $100 (via Paypal and/or books, software, etc)
• 4000 subscribers – $100 (via Paypal and/or books, software, etc)
• 5000 subscribers – $200 (via Paypal and/or books, software, etc)

Each series of drawings will include all subscribers. For example, the first 500 subscribers are eligible for the $50 giveaway. Once 1000 subscribers is reached, all 1000 are eligible for the $100 giveaway, etc.

The idea is pretty simple, with each additional milestone there will be another giveaway. More subscribers, more stuff, more chances for you to win.

As you help to spread the word, and more subscribers come on board, we’ll get closer to the next drawing.

Rules And Details

• All prices (cash or otherwise) will be valued in US currency.
• This giveaway will end March 31st, 2013. No additional prizes will be awarded for this giveaway after 3/31/2013.
• One email subscription per person.
• All drawings will be done via random number selection.
• 4000 subscribers – $100 (via Paypal and/or books, software, etc)
• Other than the Paypal, the value of the prizes will be determined by full retail price of any product, book, software tool, etc.

So what’s in the newsletter you ask? That is, after all, the intention here.

Although each issue may vary slightly, the focus will be on all things iOS and Apple. A partial list of topics may include:
