The first post on iOS Developer Tips (originally iPhone Developer Tips) was in August of 2008, a few months after the release of first iPhone SDK. The blog has had steady and continual growth over the years and has become a regular stopping place for iOS developers in over 90 countries/territories.

iOS Developer Tips is focused on all things iOS developer centric, from APIs and tools to coding tips, tricks and best practices.

John Muchow

John is the founder of iOS Developer Tips. He has been involved in software development for over 25 years, with the past 16 years focused on mobile applications and developer tools.

John is the author of a best-selling mobile developer book, Core J2ME, which was written in 2000 and is still published in several foreign languages. He has also written extensively about software development for many publications, including O’Reilly, Sun/Oracle, Dr. Dobbs, PC Magazine, IBM developerWorks, Nokia, among others.

John has designed and developed over 30 iPhone applications, including three Star Wars applications for LucasFilms, all featured by Apple on the App Store. In addition, the app John wrote for well known rapper Snoop Dogg was featured on The Tonight Show in 2009.
